Zion's members contribute to many local, national, and international charities. As a "Five for Five" congregation, we support the United Church of Christ's Wider Mission, as well as four special mission offerings: One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, Neighbors in Need, and the Christmas Fund. We also contribute to Church World Service's Blankets and Tools Project, the Indiana-Kentucky Conference's Apollos offering for new churches and the local Food Bank, AIDS Ministry, and Habitat for Humanity. Members donate food, clothing, and household items for four local charities on our "Helping Hands Cart."

The Missions Ministry also encourages Zion's members to contribute their time and expertise. Members volunteer at local schools in the "Read to a Child" program, prepare meals at Hope Ministries, serve on committees of Transforming Action through Power, walk in the annual CROP Walk, and organize an alternative shopping experience for Christmas gifts. Through the "We Care" committee, volunteers minister to the needs of members and friends of the congregation.
